Smocala Smoke & Vape

The service at this place has definitely declined. My last few visits, no one greeted me or looked at all eager to help. When I did have a question, the guy looked at me like I had 3 heads. Keeping things organized is clearly not a priority as they make plenty of time for video games and being on their phone while the most rummaged through areas (vapes) are so wayward you can’t even see what the brands are. I’ve been to plenty of smoke shops where you are not being assisted by a walking stereotype but if that’s the experience you are looking for, Smocala is your spot.

I was welcomed by a very friendly doggy. Nice people, and they had exactly what i was looking for.

Very cool store!! The young person that helped me was very knowledgeable about their products. Prices were less than Convience stores. A pleasurable shopping experience!!

Best smoke shop in the area!!! The guy that's usually there is the best. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I don't go anywhere else.

The only complaint I have is on my last visit the staff members there (two females) were not wearing masks. The sign on their door says masks are required but when your own staff doesn't wear them it defeats the purpose. It sends a message that you want the customer to wear a mask to keep the employees safe but they won't give the customer the same courtesy.

Customer service was awful. I came in on 2/9 in search of a vape. I mentioned this to the two employees behind the desk. Both employees were sitting behind the counter on their phones and didn't bother to get up from their seat. When I asked for a recommendation, one of them pointed at the glass case and mumbled something. Then when he got up to cash us out, he had no shoes on....so needless to say, I won't be back.

It would be nice if they would post their actual hours because tonight is the third time now that I’ve hauled a** to get there before their posted 10:00pm closing time and the door is locked and nobody around. So obviously they close before 9:15pm - 9:30pm (though tonight I got there at 9:37). Maybe they close at 9:00pm now and just haven’t updated their posted times? This is the main reason I only gave them 3 stars because it’s cost me driving across Ocala to get there “in time” only to find the employees have once again dipped out early and now I’m left no choice but to go way out of my way for somewhere else that’s open. Unfortunately, they’ve lost myself and six others’ business because of this exact reason.

I dont assume the owners spend much time here. If they did the customer service would be better. I like to come here because there are things I want that otherwise I would need shipped but the service is horrible. Worse then anywhere iv been really. I take alot of pride in my work. These employees do not. Hire new people asap.

This was my first time ever going to smocala, and it was a great experience... I only recently started smoking, and wasn't really sure what I was looking for. I wanted something that would give me a smoother hit than what I had been smoking from, and I was immediately offered help by the staff. A girl named CeCe came up and offered her advice, and I ended up getting what she recommended, a small water pipe, and it has been great so far. 10/10
